Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Study and Human Development Ranked 3rd in North America of 50 Ph.D. Granting Programs

A new study published in Family Science Review finds that the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Study and Human Development is one of the top 3 programs in North America for research productivity and industriousness when controlling for the size of the faculty.

New Biography From Art History Alum

Mark Lamster, M.A. in Art History ’94, has published a biography of the architect Philip Johnson called The Man in the Glass House: Philip Johnson, Architect of the Modern Century (Little, Brown & Company, 2018). The New York Times describes the book as "stimulating and lively" in a recent review.

An Introduction to Armenian Art

Christina Maranci, the Arthur H. Dadian and Ara T. Oztemel Professor of Armenian Art and chair of the Department of Art History, has published The Art of Armenia: An Introduction (Oxford University Press). It is the first English-language introduction to Armenian art.
