Research
Whether you are a research assistant, a member of a lab or research group, or are planning for independent research, there are many resources to support students in searching for funding, applying for grants, and undergoing the research process. Start by exploring just some of the funding opportunities for research projects available to graduate students.
Teaching
From departmental teaching assistant assignments to designing and heading your own course for undergraduates, there are many opportunities for students to hone their pedagogical skills. Explore some of the annual opportunities for student teachers and tutors, and keep an eye out for further departmental or school-wide opportunities.
Conferences
Graduate students travel to academic and professional conferences every year to present their research and to participate as attendees. The Graduate School supports and encourages this scholarly engagement, and so offers some travel funding for all students, to make this important part of the graduate experience at Tufts more approachable.
International Student Support
The Tufts International Center offers assistance for international students navigating life at Tufts and in the United States.
Academic Support
Academic support surrounds students at Tufts – from their departments, to their peers, to dedicated consultants through the Academic Resource Center. One-on-one appointments and group programs are available for students trying to improve their time management, study strategies, writing and habits around writing, and public speaking.
Professional Development
From managing your finances to managing your research data and everything in between, Tufts offers programming to support you develop skills in all aspects of your life. Many workshops are being added every year, and annual larger programs in the summer give students well-rounded training for any future pursuits. Tufts offers guidance through the Career Center. Students can also apply for an internship through Tufts Tech Transfer.
