Assistive Technology (AT) devices and services promote active participation and quality of life for people with diverse abilities in a variety of domains, including self-care, communication, sports, recreation, social, work, school, and leisure.
The Department of Occupational Therapy's certificate program in Assistive Technology, is designed for working professionals and graduate students in occupational therapy and/or a related field who are looking to gain more experience and foundational knowledge in the area of assistive tech.
Throughout this three-course certificate program, you will gain valuable experience and professional knowledge in the field of assistive technology. You will learn from, and work collaboratively with, people with disabilities in state-of-the-art makerspaces at Tufts and in the community.
As a graduate of the certificate program, you will be able to directly apply your learning and experience to your work in occupational therapy or fields such as rehabilitation, engineering, computer science, education, and child development.
GSAS bills tuition using a per-credit billing model, meaning you are billed for the number of credits you take each semester. This billing model is used to provide students better flexibility so they may "pay-as-they-go".
