Overview

Develop your innovation, leadership and management skills and build your technical depth with the Dual Degree master's program. You’ll earn two degrees - an MS Innovation & Management (MSIM) and an MS offered by one of the six academic departments within the School of Engineering. And, you earn both degrees in an accelerated timeframe and at a reduced cost.

Program Highlights

  • Fast time to completion: You earn two master’s degrees in just two years.
  • Reduced course load & tuition: You can double count four courses toward both degrees, thereby reducing the total number of credits and the tuition cost required to earn both credentials.
  • Streamlined admissions: Select the dual degree program option on our online application and the application process is simplified. You only need to apply once, and both admissions teams will review your application materials. This means you only submit your college transcripts, resume and standardized test scores once... And, best of all, you only pay one application fee.

Application Requirements

  • Official TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo test scores (if applicable)
  • GRE General Test scores may be required by the department administering the MS portion of the program.
     
  • Personal Statement: Applicants must submit a 1200-1500 word essay following the Graduate Admissions prompt. Please make sure your statement addresses your reasons for wanting to enroll in both degree programs.
    • What previous experiences and commitments have brought you to consider applying for graduate training? What are your chief objectives in applying now? How do you think this Tufts program will help you in the pursuit of your objectives and vocation?
       
  • Optional Additional Short Essay: Applicants may also submit a 200-250 word essay in which they respond to one of the three following prompts. This is not required and should only be submitted if it will provide the Admissions Committee with a more complete picture of who you are.
    • Tell us about a time when you had to convince an individual or group of your idea.
    • Tell us about your most meaningful leadership experience.
    • Tell us about a time when you identified an opportunity for improvement within your department/company/organization and you were able to successfully implement this change.
